Guest lecture and tutorial for material flow cost accounting

Description

The contents of the guest lecture comprise the following topics: importance of resource efficiency at macro and micro level, detailed description of material flow cost accounting including the aims, characteristics, historical development, core elements, implementation, differences to conventional cost accounting and classification within environmental management accounting and classical cost accounting. Moreover, an exercise for implementing and calculating material flow cost accounting in a steel profile producing company is presented. The depiction of limitations and further research areas concludes the presentation.
