Global Trends: Time for Afropositivism?

Activity: Talk or presentationInvited talkscience-to-public

Description

Global challenges such as climate change, COVID-19, transnational terrorism or digital governance imply two fundamental insights: Science must take these global challenges into account and show cross-disciplinary solution options. Governments going it alone will not provide any answers as to how humanity can deal with global risks. Global threats have an equalizing moment: Mankind lives in a global community of dangers. Africa is rich in resources, yet the poorest continent. The African Union's Agenda 2063 is a strategic concept for the socio-economic and political transformation of the continent. The goal is a unified, pan-African integrated and prosperous continent. Is the African century now beginning and is it time for Afropositivism?
