Der Vortrag behandelt die Frage: "Welche Wirkungen sollen Schulinspektionen in verschiedenen europäischen Ländern auf Schulen ausüben? Auf welche Weise (durch welche Prozesse und Kontextfaktoren) sollen diese Wirkungen erreicht werden?" Die Beantwortung stützt sich dabei sowohl auf gängige Literatur als auch auf Daten einer Befragung steirischer Schulleitungen.
