Fluid Systems and Cyber-Physical Systems - some Thoughts on a Symbiotic Relationship

Description

The upcoming of cyber-physical systems poses also challenges on the design of mechatronic systems and their sub-systems. In this presentation this issue is discussed for fluid systems, in particular of hydraulic drives and of cooling systems for metallurgical applications. The applicability of the paradigm "symbiotic mechatronics" - developed by the Linz Center of Mechatronics - is studied by several examples.
