Description

More than 20 students from all over the world attended and enjoyed our workshop on polymer-based hybrid materials for a 100% solar energy supply. The old fossil pipeline economy is currently outperformed and substituted by solar power supergrid systems relying on photovoltaic modules, wind power generators or HVDC cables. All these essential products are consisting of functional silicon or metal layers encapsulated and protected by polymeric materials based on carbon, hydrogen, oxygen or nitrogen. In CDL-AgePol at JKU-IPMT we are successfully developing advanced and highly accelerated testing methods allowing for durability assessment of such laminates on specimen level.
