Environmental stress cracking resistance of recycled post-consumer polystyrene waste

Activity: Talk or presentationContributed talkscience-to-science

Description

The influence of different media on the fracture mechanics of polystyrene polysmers was tested under fatigue loading. The materials originated on the one hand from new virgin material and on the other hand from post-consumer material. It was shown that 50% vol. ethanol improves the stress cracking resistance within the measured parameters.
