ECOM: Education in Automatic Control: The Challenge of new Technologies

In the recent years many new technologies became available, beginning from the greatly increased computation power over very powerful software for development and implementation of control strategies to distributed computing with world wide access to plants via the internet. This new technologies are not only a great challenge for research but also for education in the near future. The meeting will address different aspects of the application of these technologies in academic education and their effects.
