Computer Algebra and Partition Congruences: Some New Aspects

Activity: Talk or presentationInvited talkscience-to-science

Description

The talk reports on some recent progress made in computer algebra. These developments have been motivated by the celebrated partition congruences found by Ramanujan almost exactly one hundred years ago. The main point of the talk is the representation of modular function algebras as modules over a polynomial ring. The talk is accessible to a wider mathematical audience.
