Collaborative Open Foresight – Nutzen und Grenzen einer branchenübergreifenden Kooperation zur Antizipation von technologischen Entwicklungen

In this qualitative research project, a collaboration between seven companies from different industries – initiated by a research center in the field of mechatronics and a university institute – was analyzed. The results show that the Collaborative Open Foresight Project was very useful in anticipating innovative developments based on blockchain technology. In addition, the possible disruptive potential could be estimated. The special benefits were the joint development of know-how (saving resources) and in particular the generation of completely new perspectives and ways of thinking through the diversity of the participating organizations.
