Changing World – The opportunity for process engineering

Activity: Talk or presentationInvited talkscience-to-public

Description

Process engineering had been always a driver and adaptor of new technologies. The fast changes in climate as well as the new technologies regarding e.g. different feedstocks, three-dimensional printing, digitalization and quantum computing are changing or will change the process industry in a rapid way during the next years. This enables new opportunities, while at the same time old structures need to be broken up. The presentation will give in an overview of the changing environment and the meaning for process industry. The possibilities of process engineering by means of new feedstocks, simulations and experiments are shown by means of catchy examples.
