Bearingless motors: the future of magnetically levitated motor systems

Activity: Talk or presentationInvited talkscience-to-science

Description

The talk will emphase the high potential of bearingless motors in a wide power range and several application domains, introducing the audience to recently developed bearingless motor topologies (like single-drive, magnetic geared, compact induction, rotor-PM-free), to different winding schemes (like multi-phase, dual-purpose non voltage, mittle point current injection) and to novel controll methods (exploiting field weakening). Audience members will discover the potential for bearingless motors to reshape today's magnetically levitated motor technology.
