ATLab: An accessible cross platform gaming framework for people with disabilities

Description

New touchpad- or tablet-devices are available at a reasonable price and have the potential to grant access to digital learning contents for training and therapy also for disabled people. In particular these new technologies and interaction concepts offer possibilities to realize a better and more efficient access to digital teaching contents for people with learning disabilities, limited motor skills and speech impediment. The ATLab Project is funded by Research Studios Austria and the main goal is the development of a flexible and easy framework system for the development of applications on current available tablets (ePads) for disabled people supporting state-of-the-art and novel input devices and techniques in an extensible way for all major platform including iOS, Android and Windows7, 8/8 RT.
