Description

The aim of this seminar is to present different online MPC applications and give a short overview of the facilities and used MPC workflow at JKU. Both case studies have a linear MPC framework in combination with real-time capable QP-solver in common. The first application example is the control of a Diesel engine air system in view of stringent emission legislation and real sensors with limited accuracy. The second example will focus on the application of online MPC for integral engines used at compressor stations in the US Pipeline network. In this case also a numerically motivated self tuning strategy is presented which reduces the tuning effort on site and enhances the numerical condition of the problem
