Description

A brief discussion of the key elements of a nonlinear mathematical model suitable of capturing the major physical effects and interconnections of a temper rolling mill consisting of a four-high mill stand, unwinder and rewinder represents the first part of this contribution. The second part is concerned with design aspects of a nonlinear state feedback controller for the multi-input multi-output model fo the plant following the differential geometric techniques of input/output- and input/state-linearization.
