Abstract
Let $M$ be a maximal submopdule of an $R$-module $V$. Let $f: V \to V$ be a map with $f(rv) = rf(v)$,
$r \in R, v \in V$. In this paper we consider the problem of determining when $f \in Hom_R (M,V)$ implies
$f \in End_R V$.
