Zero Emission Roll-Out - Cold Chain Distribution. FFG Zero Emission Mobility – 1st Call

Using the case study of fresh foof delivery in Vienna, the use of electric temperature-controlled vehicles will be demonstrated experimentally on two different types of e-LCVs. To this ent, available e-vehicles will be converted and equipped with an innovative cooling unit which will be connected directly to the vehicle battery. The existing logistics system will be extended by a city hub and bookable smart charging zones to enable recharging on the tour and thus ensure a sufficiently high payload. Based on the results of the demonstration, the previously developed theoretical framework for measuring zero emission will be avaluated. Finally,a migration strategy for temperature-controlled vehicles will be developed and roll-out guides for practical imnplementation by fleet operators will be prepared.
