IoT and Crowdsourcing-based Environmental Monitoring and Situation Awareness for Disaster Management (ASEA-UNINET)

The objective of this proposal is to investigate on new approaches that combines the sensing, analysis and optimization capabilities of environmental monitoring with abilities to reason about the environmental monitoring and its underlying IoT-based operational technologies. In particular, we propose studying possibilities to enhance the situational picture provided by the environmental monitoring system with aspects of monitoring the underlying operational technologies themselves in the light of evolving environments and evolving systems.
