The JKU Business School's Rising Scholars are post-doc researchers (a maximum of 6 years after earning a PhD*) and affiliated with one of the JKU Business School's supporting institutes and a scholar who has recently (in the past two years) (co-)authored one A+/A or two B level papers in accordance with VHB rankings (jourqual3)** which is not a part of his/her dissertation, or has reached a threshold considered comparable as certified by at minimum of three JKU professors; and has presented his/her research at an internationally recognized conference in his/her respective field. Furthermore, the rising scholar has either professional experience, international academic experience (extended research stay abroad), or has (co-)authored/taken over the work package lead for a successful externally funded project.
