The Role of JKU inTEMACC

The TEMACC project involves partners here inEthiopia, the Austrian funding agency OeAD that provides the moneyfor this project by meansof Appear, i.e., a partnership program in higher education andresearch fordevelopment, the JKU and the KUK. Knowledge and expertise in theTEMACC project willbe used from the Addis Ababa University. The project will becarried out herein Addis, by people here in Addis. This is one of the importantfactorsfor this project to succeed. How to support mothers and childrenin the Butajira area by means of aninformation system, nobody in Austria would be able to answer. Butpeoplehere in Ethiopia know, at least some of them. But even people herein the capital Addis Ababahad to make field trips and interviews to really find out what isneeded forthis project to succeed, meaning what is needed that mothers andtheir childrenas well as health extension workers will benefit from this work.So, but if this is the case, you may ask: “What is the roleof the JKU?” and also the “Kepler University Hospital?”.
