School Leaders and their Experience of School Inspection

Evaluation and accountability are key issues in ensuring quality provision for all. This study evaluates if and how school inspections promote high educational and student achievement in schools.The main purpose of the presentation is to deepen the knowledge of the specificities of the Austrian inspection system, by identifying more general elements (which may be found also in other countries) and special characteristics to be found in the Austrian system (and, maybe, in just a few other systems).
