Design Science for Software and Systems Engineering

Design Science is a research methodology which focuses specifically on the design and evaluation of artefacts in a particular context. In Software and Systems Engineering, solutions are created and evaluated with respect to given requirements. In my talk, I will investigate the how Design Science may be utilized for conducting research in Software and Systems Engineering. In particular, I will present several best practices and research methods for conducting a successful PhD thesis in this area.
